A Message from the Executive Director
As I reflect over the last fourteen years, I am so proud of all the things we have accomplished. I can’t believe I have been the Executive Director of the Cabarrus County Partnership for Children for fourteen years this January. Time passes by so quickly when you are engaged in work that you love.
We have accomplished so many amazing things together and YOU should be proud of our work on the SUN Project, educating many early childhood professionals at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, the pediatric practices making sure children have development screening and introducing them to literacy so they will be ready for school. I could go on all day of the things YOU have helped us do in the community.
We are very proud of all our programs and our direct service providers, so I hope you will review our 2021-2022 Annual Report and know that our Annual Report would not be possible, if not for YOU, Our Community Partners.
With a very grateful heart, I thank you, our community for supporting the Cabarrus County Partnership for Children, our youngest children and families. We know when we help a child we change our future. Thank you & Blessing to you and your family.
Happy Holidays,
Ann Benfield
Executive Director

Cuddle Up Coat Drive
Each year, the Cabarrus County Partnership for Children collects and distributes hundreds of winter coats to children who are in need through our Cuddle up Coat Drive. Local businesses and organizations aid us in our efforts by becoming coat drive collection sites and by hosting their own coat drives with their staff and clientele, then delivering donated children’s coats to the Partnership.

Get Involved
The Cabarrus County Partnership for Children is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which means we depend on the support of our local community in order to provide evidence-based programs and critical services to ensure the well-being of Cabarrus County’s youngest population. There is a large population of children under the age of 5 who don’t have access to high-quality child care, early education, health services, and the basic programs and resources they’ll need in order to thrive. We need to reach the children who need our programs the most and we can’t do it without your help.
Duffle Bags of Hope
Children are entering Cabarrus County’s foster care system without the basic items they need to thrive. While resources are often available for younger children, they aren’t for children ages 12+. In response, the Cabarrus County Partnership for Children is filling up 30 backpacks with supplies for youth in Cabarrus County’s foster care system.
