Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL)
Due to state funding limits, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) is no longer accepting NEW registrations in many North Carolina counties. However, in Cabarrus County, we are still enrolling children thanks to local funding.
Cabarrus County’s DPIL program is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting specially-selected, high-quality books to participating young children every month starting with “The Little Engine That Could.” Thanks to funding from NC Smart Start, this program is free of charge for participating Cabarrus County children — all you have to do is enroll them!
Sign up here to receive a free book each month for your child 0-5.

Parents as Teachers
Parents As Teachers (PAT) is a voluntary early childhood development home visiting program offering research-based curricula that help families raise children to be healthy, safe, and ready to learn in school.
Evidence-Based Home Visiting
The Parents as Teachers model is delivered via in-home visits with Parent Educators from Endless Opportunities. These individuals are employed by affiliate organizations right in your community and are highly trained in our curricula. Home visits may be conducted in-person or virtually.
There are seven goals/outcomes to our unique home visiting model:
- Increase parent knowledge of early childhood development and improve positive parenting practices
- Provide early detection of developmental delays and connection to services
- Improve parent, child, and family health and well-being
- Prevent child abuse and neglect
- Increase children’s school readiness and success
- Improve family economic well-being
- Strengthen community capacity and connectedness
